Restaurant · Munich · English Garden

Bavarian hospitality, polished for a new generation.

A historic mill beside the English Garden, reimagined with refined regional cooking, warm rooms, and one of Munich’s most atmospheric beer gardens.

History, culinary approach, event information, logo, and photography are drawn from the official Emmeramsmühle website.

The restaurant

A Munich institution, hidden in green.

First documented in the fourteenth century and welcoming Munich over beer since 1825, Emmeramsmühle occupies a rare position: half urban escape, half Bavarian institution. Beside the Isar canal, its timbered rooms, tiled stove, open fire, and green-shaded beer garden feel secluded from the city without ever leaving it.

The kitchen gives regional classics a sharper contemporary finish, built around seasonal produce and careful local sourcing. The mood moves easily from a long lunch or Sunday gathering to a candlelit dinner, private celebration, or relaxed business event, always with a distinctly Munich sense of ease.

Private and business events

Munich events, without the hotel stiffness.

Flexible historic rooms and the beer garden create a relaxed but polished setting for company dinners, private celebrations, and gatherings that deserve more character than a conventional venue.
